YellowMelen Christmas BBQ

Photographs from the YellowMelen Christmas BBQ on the 15th December.  It was very cold and rainy but a 6x4m sheet was quite useful to stop the rain but it also kept the smoke.

Some of the photographs from the afternoon taken on a Panasonic GF1 with a 20mm pancake lens.  It is neat little camera with excellent quality images.  Took a bit of time to figure out how to use the focus and configure it properly but once i had superb.  The f1.7 20mm pancake is fantastic and allow not only a lot of light but great depth of field.

Looking forward to trying this camera out more with street photography.

MelenCourses Photo Day Out - Exquisite corpse

Would you like to like to come along and spend the day photographing with other photographers?

There are 10 places available for 10 photographers to come and spend the day with us taking photographs to produce an Exquisite corpse book.

The date is Wednesday the 14th July and we will meet at MelenStudios at 0900 and chose a location near by to photograph.

Each person will only see the previous persons photograph, they will then have to photograph something themselves following on from that image. Once we have taken enough images will put them to get into a book!

This is on a first come first serve basis and please feel free to ask any questions.

Either sign up here on facebook or email me at phil@melencourses.co.uk
